The British Veterinary Association
(BVA) is the national representative body for the veterinary profession
with over 11,000 members. In promoting and supporting the interests of
our members, and the animals under their care, the BVA is committed to
developing and maintaining channels of communication not least with government,
parliamentarians and the media.
British Veterinary Nursing Association
The aim of the BVNA is to promote animal health and welfare through the
ongoing development of professional excellence in veterinary nursing.
Veterinary Medicines Directorate
The vision of the VMD is the responsible, safe and effective use of veterinary
medicinal products. In working towards achieving this vision the VMD aims
to protect public health, animal health, the environment and promote animal
welfare by assuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines.
